New In! Fellow Ode Gen 2 Brew Burrs Now Available

The Fellow ODE has been a firm favourite of many coffee fans for some time. And it just got even better – yes, we’re talking about the introduction of the Fellow Ode Gen 2 Brew Burrs – which we’re happy to say we now have available!

Whether your preference is a light roast with increased extraction yield, or you’re a medium/dark roast lover looking for those intense, rich chocolate and toffee notes, the new Fellow Ode Gen 2 Brew Burrs has the capability to give you what you want. Having been in development for over a year, Fellow has worked tirelessly to bring coffee lovers a burr they can be proud of.

FINER GRIND SIZE FOR THE MOST DELICIOUS COFFEE

One of the drawbacks of the Fellow ODE 1.1 brew burrs was that it wasn’t able to produce as fine a grind size as some would like. Fellow got to work rectifying this not by finding an off-the-shelf brew burr that can provide a finer grind, but by designing the Gen 2 entirely from scratch.

Their 64mm unique two-stage grinding geometry means the ODE Gen 2 Brew Burrs are now capable of grinding for finer brews (250 – 300 microns and up as opposed to the standard burrs 550 microns and up) and produce a sweet, balanced and complex cup of coffee. Fellow has however noted that while the Gen 2 brew burrs provide a finer grind, they’re still not for espresso. Here are a couple of handy photos illustrating the difference in grind size of the 1.1 and Gen 2 burrs.
